ASAE Committees

Mentoring

The Mentoring Committee works with the Student Society of Architectural Engineers (SSAE) to enhance the experience for both the students and the alumni that participates in the Alumni Mentoring Program. The mentoring program pairs students with architectural engineering alumni mentors in a yearlong mentoring initiative.

Education and Outreach

The focus of the Education and Outreach Committee is working with the AE students and supporting the department in their continuing education efforts. The committee initiated a SSAE Dinner and Learn series that is a monthly discussion (usually virtual) in which industry professionals speak on a specific, application-based topics ranging from photovoltaics to the cost of green building. In addition, this committee assists SSAE in getting speakers for the annual Options Conference.

Marketing and Communications

The Marketing and Communication Committee is responsible for keeping ASAE members informed of all Society initiatives, along with advertising department news and events. This committee updates the website, Facebook, and LinkedIn pages. In addition, the committee is reaching out to all AE alumni to increase membership in the Society.

Development and Awards

The Development and Awards Committee works with the AE department to increase alumni giving to the department and provide deserved recognition to AE alumni.
