You’re invited to celebrate 104 years in the Engineering Units with the Penn State Department of Architectural Engineering (AE) and Alumni Society of Architectural Engineers (ASAE) at the AE Alumni Weekend, April 25-27. 

Join us for three days of events including a special all-class reunion, continental brunch in the Units, and an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the future home of AE in the Engineering Collaborative Research and Education (ECoRE) Building, opening fall 2024.

Thursday, April 25

All-Class Reunion | 6:00 - 9:00 p.m.
The Penn Stater Hotel & Conference Center
Business semi-formal attire (suit jacket optional)
Heavy hors d’oeuvres and open bar provided

Gather with your fellow classmates and break out your best dance moves as we kick-off AE Alumni Weekend with our All-Class Reunion! Reconnect with many generations of AE and reminisce together about your time at Penn State!


Friday, April 26

AEI Team Presentation | 9:00 a.m.
The Penn Stater Hotel & Conference Center
Business casual attire

Come show support of our current AE students as they showcase their year-long research and design in their thesis presentations. Students work individually and in teams to analyze a building and optimize its performance in their AE specialty. Doors close at 9:30 a.m.!

Alumni Reception & Pegula Tour | 4:00 - 6:30 p.m.
Penn State Pegular Ice Arena
Casual attire
Heavy hors d’oeuvres and open bar provided

Join your fellow AE alumni in an informal, open house reception and VIP tours of the Pegula Ice Arena! Tours will take place at 4:00, 4:30, and 5:00 p.m. Be sure to swing by and pick up your t-shirt for our Alumni Downtown Crawl!

*Round trip shuttle service is provided from The Penn Stater to Pegula Ice Arena on Friday. 


Saturday, April 27

ECoRE Tour | 9:00 a.m.
Penn State ECoRE (West 1) Building—Across Westgate (IST) Bridge
Closed toe shoes required, no shorts/skirts - casual attire

Are you eager to see the next chapter for AE? Join us on a tour of the new ECoRE building—the new home for AE! You will be one of the first alumni to see the building before it opens for classes in August 2024! 

Engineering Units Brunch | 10:30 a.m.

We welcome you back home one last time as we close out our tenure in the Engineering Units. AE is moving in summer 2024, so come walk the halls of your college experience as you remember them! This brunch is open-house and will feature demonstrations and artifacts of the AE department. Don’t forget your departing gift before you leave!

Alumni Downtown Crawl | 1:00 p.m.

This event is pay-as-you-go. No AE end-of-year event is complete without a crawl around downtown. Relive your fifth-year year and visit your favorite weekend hot spots in Happy Valley!

*Round trip shuttle service is provided from The Penn Stater to ECoRE and the Engineering Units brunch on Saturday.
